Evandy Hostel — Student-facing systems

Book a bed, pay, and manage your stay online

A complete walkthrough of the Evandy website and student portal — from finding a room and registering, to declaring payments, downloading receipts, and reporting a fault.

Audience: applicants & resident students Covers: public website + student portal Companion: UNHMS Staff manual

01Overview

Everything a student does with Evandy happens in two places: the public website, where you book and pay, and the portal, where you manage your stay after you're in.

The website

Open to everyone. Discover the hall, pick a campus, verify or register, choose a room and bed, and see how to pay.

The student portal

Your private area after you have an account. Check your room and balance, declare payments, download receipts, and report faults.

Evandy serves four campuses — UG Legon, KNUST Main, KNUST Annex, and UG City Campus. You'll choose yours early; from then on the site only shows rooms, prices, and options for that campus.

How this guide works Section 02 shows the whole journey at a glance. Then each website page and each portal screen gets its own walkthrough, followed by reference tables for statuses, payments, and troubleshooting.

02The booking journey

Booking a bed is three moves, exactly as the home page promises: find a room, pay, and you're in.

Choose campus New or current? Pick room & bed Register Pay 60%+ Bed confirmed

A new student registers and reserves a bed, then pays to confirm it. A current resident verifies their identity first, then continues. Either way, your bed is held the moment you reserve, and confirmed once the office sees your payment.

03The public website, page by page

Every page you'll meet on the way to booking a bed — what it's for and what to do on it.

Home page

Open to everyone

The front door. It introduces the hall — prime locations, 24/7 security, seamless booking, community — and points you to start a booking.

  1. Read the highlights and the three-step summary.
  2. Press Book Now (or Start booking) to begin, or Login if you already have an account.
